Who is your musical inspiration?

Wednesday, 28 December 2011

Just recently, I had experienced something quite amazing. I was walking through my favourite store: 'Cosmo Music', when I came across a piano that was hard not to look at. I stood in awe. It was a bright white wood, and the black keys were clean and dusted. I looked up at the price, once again in awe, but a different type. The cost was $100 000.00. In no way did I want to get it (for this is still reality) but just to think that a piano; and it wasn't all that tuned well; could have a cost as great as that. I usually don't care for such, but (not to be rude) it wasn't such a great piano. Although it was quite pretty, it didn't sound nice (it had a squeaking sound), the keys were either too hard to press down on, or too easy, and the pedal had a short distance of sound. This saying usually bothers the heck out of me, but: 'Never Judge a book by its cover.' This saying applied nicely to the occurring situation.

Section #2 of my blog: Entitled: 'NEWS.'

2 days ago I had written a post asking for help to prevent poverty from increasing, after seeing horrifying sights of it in Italy, Israel, and all over. I understand more people had seen this post than any other post I had done, which means people are reading it, and understanding why poverty is a problem. I would like you all to comment how you would like to prevent poverty, and how we should get the word around that on a month like this (December) we should be with our families, not with the lonely dark streets searching for food.
We take everything we own for granted. We eat food for breakfast, eat one bite and throw it out. Homeless people are looking for that food to eat, half eaten or clean.

Please follow this blog to show support for those who can't even read this right now, and don't know we are supporting them throughout their hard journey...

God Bless,

Important News!

Alright, before you all go on and on about how I have not been posting since September, stop yourself... I have the biggest reason why: Hold onto your seats lady's and gentlemen, because I am about to tell you the biggest miracle and dream come to life for moi...
For the holidays this year, I had gotten 4 tickets to the symphony! And not only will I be listening to beautiful music, I will be listening to ONLY Beethoven, and no Mozart... <3

Oh Goodness! I almost forgot! I wish you all a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Kwanzaa, and Happy Diwali! This year, ever single present I received, made me think to those less fortunate parents out there whom are looking in trash cans or begging on the streets for any sign on a gift for their children. No one wants to make themselves or their family members feel as if they are missing out on something that everyone on Earth enjoys when it comes in December! Which is why I am writing this whole thing; not to tell you about my gifts, or what I gave to others, or how much I love the holidays, or anything about Beethoven, or piano. Read along:
A few years ago I went to Rome and Israel, and I saw many homeless people. It was around Easter, when families should be together; not that at any time of the year you should be alone, but it made me realise that when I receive a beautiful sweater I had wanted for years and it was the top brand, that I should take a minute and step back before I yell at whoever got it for me, that it was a different shade, because all those people that are having trouble even getting a little skittles bag for their family. I would like to change that, and help those families on the holidays. I can't do much, but the only thing I can do will make the biggest difference in the world.

When you walk by someone on the streets, instead of making fun of them and taking pictures, or running away, give them money. If someone is looking in a trash can, and looks like a homeless person, tap on their shoulder and give them (if you have one on you) a piece of food, or a candy bar; it would make their day, and finally, if you have something someone else would enjoy on the holidays, (like clothes, or toys or food or games) donate them, and make one less person sad on the holidays.

I know this is all a lot to ask, but if you can do something as simple as bring a smile to someones face, you are a great person, and anyone without a heart, deep inside, envies you. Please, make this holiday good for someone else, beside you and your family.

I hope you had/have a warm, healthy, fun holiday, and remember: G-d watches those you have none, and sends persons to warm their souls...

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Diwali, Happy Kwanzaa, Happy New Year!

Rememberence Day

Remembrance Day:
I live in a world where I am safe and sound. I am lucky to live in this world. Not everyone has the choice to live in this world. When the soldiers fought, they dreamt of this world. They dreamt that their offspirng would live in this world, in their dreams. They dreamed of freedom, they dreamed of our freedom.

November 11th was when those soldiers that were dreaming of freedom, chanted. November 11th is when the people in North America sang, hugged, and cried. November 11th was the day we weren't born, the day we didn't see, but the day we remember.

In honor of Remembrance Day, I give you this poem, about our soldiers.

Canadian soldiers in their homes,
Watching TV like normal,
Nothing was weird, in the same tones,
Nothing was ever formal.

They heard the cries,
They heard the bells,
They heard their people die,
Remembrance Day tells:

They went off to war,
Over sea,
As far as the core,
So we could be free.

The war ended with them,
Only some came home,
They made sure they never,
Ever moaned.

People?
Not people, my life savor,
When they smile their dimples,
Did us a favor.

We asked for freedom,
They gave,
Their familes asked for them,
They visited their grave.

Remembrance Day? A day when we remember...
The ones who said to us, "There will be a way..."

Remember on this day, those who died, the ones that were killed, so the people of our generation, could live our lives with equal rights. With woman being fairly treated, not hiding in the basement. With men being fairly treated, not hiding with their wives. With the children being happy, not scared, holding onto their Mama's hand as she reads the letter their father has been killed.
Remember, it's easy.

In honor of all the soldiers, from across the world...
Thank you. <3

Change of Plans

Okay, so I have a bit of a change for Halloween, well, to be specific:
COSTUME CHANGES.
So, all over I searched for this Tinkerhell costume, and I found one, but to be a zombie Tinkerbell, I had to ruin the costume. But what if I ruined the ruining of the costume? What if it looked weird? So my problem was this exact thing. My previous stage costume was the cat in the hat Dr. Seus, so this year I am now changing my costume to...
CAT IN THE HAT... Pretty version... And it has a skirt!

FOLLOW!!!

Okay, I know this is an important, serious, LEGIT blog about Beethoven and piano, but, I have something totally out of the question to debate about... HALLOWEEN! Just the name makes me smile. This year I am going to be a mix of Tinkerbell and a zombie. Thank you to all my friends at school who helped me with the name, so I wouldn't have to say Zombie Tinkerbell. You know who you are!
So this is how this whole name went over at school:
Random Person (Lets call them RP, OR... RIP!!! For Halloween sake..)
RIP- " So, what are you being for Halloween?"
ME- " A mix of Tinkerbell and a zombie!"
RIP- "How are you going to say that all night to people? Do you have a name for it?"
ME- "Yup!"
RIP- "What name?"
ME- "Tinkerhell."
RIP- "WAIT! Tinker'HELL'? What type of bachagaloop are you?"
ME- "It's just a name..."
RIP- "Yeah, and to little kids it's a new word for the week!"
ME- "Okay, okay, okay. To little kids I will say Tinkerbell. Happy?"
RIP- "And lie? What Halloween spirit do you follow?"
ME- "Zombie?"
RIP- "And scare them to death?"
ME- "Tinkerbell as a zombie?"
RIP- "Did I mention your costume is totally un-realistic?"

So, if you feel my pain of choosing a name for your WHACKED UP costume, I am here for you, buddy... I'm here for you.
\
And when I told an old lady: (Let's call her... OLD)

OLD- "My dear, what is your costume?"
ME- "Oh, I am Tinkerhell!"
OLD- "Oh I remember my grandfather telling stories about Bethany Anne Cart and her lovely-"
ME- "Any comments other than the usual out of the blue stories?"
OLD- "Hahah... I remember Pa's favourite color was blue... Oh how he had no money, but still had time to wear is overalls!"

UH.
Any way, I know it is hard for me to find the PERFECT costume, so...
GOOD LUCK to all of my followers and subscribers at your HAPPY COSTUME SHOPPING! I know you will just have the best of time!
:)
LOL.
